Daniel E. Greenleaf, President and Chief Executive Officer

Daniel E. Greenleaf was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Modivcare in December 2019. Greenleaf is an innovator across the healthcare industry who brings over 25 years of experience successfully transforming healthcare companies through periods of growth.

He served as President and CEO of BioScrip, Inc., the largest independent provider of infusion and home care management solutions. There he spearheaded the turnaround and successful merger with Option Care Health.

Prior to BioScrip, he was the CEO and Chairman of Home Solutions Infusion Services where he led the turnaround and eventual sale to BioScrip. Before Home Solutions Infusion Services, Greenleaf was the President and CEO of Coram Specialty Services, where he was instrumental in growing Coram to become the top-performing home infusion company in the country prior to its sale to CVS.

Greenleaf graduated from Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Administration from the University of Miami. He is a military veteran, having served as captain and navigator in the United States Air Force.


Kenneth W. Wilson, Chief Operating Officer

Kenneth W. Wilson was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Modivcare in May 2020. Wilson has more than three decades of executive leadership experience in the healthcare industry, encompassing a range of senior operational, managerial, and commercial roles. He recently served as Chief Commercial Officer, Healthcare at Sodexo. Before that, Wilson held the President and Chief Operating Officer role at Hanger, SPS and leadership roles at Cardinal Health and Allegiance Healthcare Corporation. Wilson began his career at Baxter Healthcare and served in increasingly prominent sales leadership positions.

Wilson graduated from Davidson College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Social Science from Davidson College


L. Heath Sampson, Chief Financial Officer

Heath Sampson was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Modivcare in February 2021. Sampson has nearly three decades of executive and financial leadership experience across a range of private and publicly traded companies. Most recently he served as Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Emissions Solutions, Inc., where he orchestrated a successful company turnaround and transformation.

Prior to that, he held Chief Financial Officer roles at private equity-owned SquareTwo Financial and within key business units at First Data Corporation. He began his career in auditing and business consulting at Arthur Anderson.

Sampson graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree.


Jody Kepler, Chief Compliance Officer

Jody Kepler, J.D., LL.M. joined Modivcare in March 2020 as Chief Compliance Officer. She brings over 20 years of compliance and legal experience in the healthcare industry with a track record of developing pragmatic, successful corporate compliance programs. 

Prior to Modivcare, Kepler served as Senior Counsel at Tenet Healthcare, Chief Compliance Officer at BioScrip, legal counsel at Coram CVS Specialty Infusion Services, and associate attorney to law firms in the Denver area. 

Kepler has a Master of Laws degree from the University of Denver and a Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University.


Walt Meffert, Chief Information Officer

Walt Meffert joined Modivcare in January 2020 as Chief Information Officer. In this capacity, Meffert is responsible for establishing and executing the company’s vision for the industry, and leading administrative and technology solutions focused on the delivery of an excellent customer experience across all business areas.

Meffert has a vast background in multiple industries including high-tech, online service, e-commerce, telecommunications and healthcare. Meffert has held various C-level roles with several organizations in the healthcare industry, including Versant Health, Visionworks, Davis Vision, Hanger, Apria Healthcare, Coram and Neighborcare. Throughout his career, he gained a reputation for building high-performing, delivery-based and disciplined teams. His business partners trusted his guidance and ability to align technology to meet business objectives, enabling the delivery of significant, lasting results to the organizations.

In 2015, while at Hanger, he was honored with InnoTech Austin’s CIO of the Year award.

Meffert is a graduate of the renowned GE Edison Engineering Development Program and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Master of Science in Computer Science degree from Johns Hopkins University.


Jonathan B. Bush, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Jonathan Bush was appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Modivcare in July 2021. Bush has over two decades of in-house and law firm experience in M&A, securities regulation, corporate finance, corporate governance, private equity, restructurings, healthcare regulation, and compliance.

Before his promotion, he served as Modivcare’s Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. Previously, he was Vice President, Corporate Development and Deputy General Counsel at BioScrip, Inc. and held a variety of corporate transaction-oriented roles at PilieroMazza PLLC, Dechert LLP, Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, Goldman Sachs & Co., and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law.


Kenneth Shepard , Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer

Kenneth Shepard was appointed Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer of Modivcare in July 2021. Shepard has more than 15 years of financial experience in healthcare, technology and public accounting. He also has expertise in financial controllership, technical accounting, SEC reporting and policy, internal control and M&A integrations.

Prior to his promotion, he served as Modivcare’s Vice President, Finance and Controller.

Previously, he worked for a decade in assurance at BDO USA, LLP. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
